CreativeXR

Liz Rosenthal was the Executive Producer of CreativeXR, a UK programme supporting the development of innovative storytelling using virtual, augmented and mixed-reality technologies. Delivered by Digital Catapult in partnership with Arts Council England and RYOT Studios, CreativeXR provides funding, mentorship and industry support for artists, filmmakers and producers working in immersive media.

In this role, Rosenthal helped shape the programme’s creative direction and mentors selected teams as they develop immersive projects from concept through prototype and market presentation. Many CreativeXR-supported works have gone on to premiere at major international festivals including the Venice International Film Festival, Tribeca Festivaland SXSW, contributing to the growth of the UK’s immersive storytelling sector.

The Pixel Lab

The programme combined intensive workshops, mentorship and industry guidance to help teams develop projects that move beyond a single medium, supporting them to refine their creative vision while exploring new models of production, financing and distribution. Since its launch, The Pixel Lab has supported the development of more than 100 projects, helping creators experiment with interactive and immersive narrative forms and connect with international partners, investors and festivals.

Power to the Pixel The Cross Media Forum

Held in association with the BFI London Film Festival, the forum brought together filmmakers, producers, technologists and digital innovators to explore new forms of storytelling across film, television, games and emerging media.

Running for more than a decade, the Cross-Media Forum became an influential platform for discussing the future of narrative in the digital age, showcasing pioneering projects and connecting creators with new models of financing, production and distribution. The event helped shape the early development of cross-platform and interactive storytelling by fostering collaboration between the creative industries and the rapidly evolving digital sector.

High 5 for Kids
The programme brought together children’s content creators, producers and digital innovators to develop projects that could exist across multiple platforms, including television, online media, games and interactive environments. Through workshops, mentorship and industry collaboration, High 5 for Kids supported the development of innovative cross-platform storytelling formats designed to engage young audiences in the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.

The initiative formed part of Power to the Pixel’s wider efforts to help creators experiment with transmedia storytelling, new production models and emerging digital platforms.
